Marsalforn Bay

​General:

Shallow Bay, ideal for training and night dives

What to look for:

Posidonia, sandy ground, wave breakers

Flying gurnards, octopus, soles, lizardfish, mullets, pipefish

Xwejni Bay

​General:

Picturesque, shallow bay, ideal for intro dives, training and night dives

What to look for:

Posidonia, peculiar underwater landscape with canyons

Schools of young barracudas, octopus, rockfish, flying gurnards

Double Arches

​General:

Spectacular site, boat- or shore dive, two arches on top of each other

What to look for:

The arches, barracudas, amberjacks, pipefish

Anchor Reef

​General:

Picturesque reef, peculiar underwater landscape, shallow plateau, drop-off, shore dive

What to look for:

Holes and overhangs to dive through

Reef damselfish, sardines, octopus, rockfish, moray eels, starfish

Reqqa Point - closest point to Sicily

​General:

Beautiful reef, drop-off, chimney

What to look for:

Hunting amberjacks & tunas, big groupers, dentex, scorpion fish, schools of sardines and damselfish

Shrimps Cave

​General:

Shaft-like small cave with lots of shrimps in it, maximum 4 divers at a time

What to look for:

Shrimps!

Billinghurst Cave

​General:

Huge cave on the north coast, aprox. 70 metres into the rock, air bubble at the end, very dark

What to look for:

Conger eels, crayfish, shrimps, nudibranchs

Ghasri Reef & Cathedral Cave

​General:

Magical blue in the cathedral - surfacing inside is a must!

Old German-built ferry, used as excursion boat around Malta, scuttled in 2006 for divers, deep

Easy to enter, fantastic stair case

Xatt l'Ahmar Wreck Xlendi

Old Danish-built ferry, used to connect Malta and Gozo, scuttled in 1999 for divers, it is upside down

Easy access, less frequented

Hondoq Bay

​General:

Shallow bay on the south east of Gozo, ideal for courses and intros

What to look for:
Sandy bottom, the water pipeline connecting Gozo with Comino, arches to the east

Seaneedles, soles, octopus, scorpionfish, mullets, cleaver wrasse, pipefish, cuttlefish

Depth:
5- 12 metres

Comino - Wreck P 31

​General:

Patrol boat scuttled in 2009 off Comino, well prepared and safe to explore by divers
What to look for:
Schools of damsels and sardines around, morays, scorpionfish, rays on the sandy bottom around

Depth:
11-21 meters

All levels, ideal for Open Water Divers or for those beginning their adventure of wreck diving

Comino Caves - Meet Zorro!

Comino - Lantern Point

​General:

Stunning boat dive, shallow plateau, a small tunnel from 5 to 16 metres, followed by boulders to swim through

What to look for:
Lots of swim-throuhgs, not frequented

Baracudas, octopus, cuttlefish, moray galore, scorpionfish, untouched corals and sponges

Depth:
5-over 30 metres

More experienced to advanced divers
