General:

Shallow Bay, ideal for training and night dives. Different sections with Posidonia, rocky and sandy ground. Very interesting around the wave breakers.

Anchor Reef

General:

Drop-off with shallow plateau, picturesque reef, peculiar underwater landscape.

What to look for:

Holes and overhangs to dive through

Octopusses, barrakudas, rockfishs, moray eels, starfish

5- +40 metres

Billinghurst Cave

General:

Large cave on the north coast, approx. 70 metres into the rock, air pocket at the end.

Access:

From shore.

What to look for:

Conger eels, crayfish, shrimps, light reflections

Depth:
25 metres

Wied Il-Mielah

General:

Dive into a mermaids' garden with caverns, swim throughs, walls and beautiful light effects. The rock arch above water is visible from underwater due to our crystal clear sea!

What to look for:

Caverns & swim-throughs.

Barracudas, octopus, giant groupers, Mola-Mola.​

Dwejra - Inland Sea

General:

Spectacular dive from a seawater lagoon through an opening formed by a natural half sub-merged 80 metres long tunnel into the Mediterranean Sea. Stunning deep-blue light and a steep drop-off is expecting you!

What to look for:
John Dory, nudibranchs, sponges, amberjacks

Depth:
12-35 metres

Medium experienced and advanced divers

Dwejra - Crocodile Rock

General:

Shallow plateau reef with a spectacular wall dropping off to 40+ metres, less frequented.

Access:

From boat & shore.

What to look for:
Groupers, barracudas,  sardines, octopus

Depth:
5 - 40 metres

Medium experienced to advanced divers 

Mgarr Ix-Xini

General:

Beautiful shallow inlet leading out to the sea with two small caverns. Makes the perfect bimble dive, and very popular with photographers!

Access:

From shore.

What to look for:
Seahorses, poseidonia pipefishes, electric rays, cuttlefishes, flying gurnards, stargazers, scorpion fishes

Xatt L'Ahmar - Wreck M/V Karwela

General:

Old German-built ferry, used as excursion boat around Malta, scuttled in 2006 for divers. Easy access for penetration, the staircase is probably one of Gozo's most photographed underwater feature!

What to look for:
Giant scorpionfish, flabellinas, moray eels

32- 40 metre

Hondoq

General:

Shallow bay in the south east of Gozo, sandy bottom, easy conditions, ideal for course dives and intros.

What to look for:
Hondoq Arches,

Soles, octopuses, scorpionfish, mullets, cleaver wrasse, pipefish, cuttlefish

5- 12 metres

Xwejni Bay

General:

Picturesque, shallow bay, ideal for intro dives, training and night dives.

What to look for:

Posidonia, peculiar underwater landscape with canyons

Schools of young barracudas, octopus, rockfish, flying gurnards

Reqqa Point

General:

​Beautiful reef with drop-off & chimney.

What to look for:

Hunting amberjacks & tunas, big groupers, dentex, scorpion fish, muray eels, schools of sardines and damselfish

Intermediate to advanced divers

Ghasri Reef & Cathedral Cave

General:

A large cavern with spacious air bubble. Magical blue inside the cathedral - surfacing inside is a must!

What to look for:

Sing a song inside the dome - the echo is spectacular!

Damselfish, giltheads, groupers

Gudja Cave

General:

Corridor-like cave with freshwater source in the back, steep drop-off.

What to look for:
Phenomenon of visible mix of fresh- and seawater, stunning light effects

Dwejra - Blue Hole

General:

Welcome to Gozo's most famous dive site, a spectacular underwater landscape with amazing light effects, caverns & chimneys.

What to look for:

The remains of the Azure Window, now called the "Azure Alps"- huge boulders with several swim-troughs in different depths.

Schools of sardines hunted by jacks, seabream and salema, conger eels inside the caves.

Xlendi Tunnel

General:

Picturesque bay with an easy to dive, 60 metres long tunnel in shallow water

What to look for:
Octopus, baby barracudas, stunning light effects inside the tunnel.

Middle Finger - Ras il Hobz

General:

Probably Gozo's dive site with the most fish population! Entered from a shallow bay which leads to a large pinnacle from 9 -+40 metres with breathtaking drop off

What to look for:
Different type of nudibranchs, amberjacks, sardines, moray eels, schooling breams

Depth:
10- +40 metres

Xatt L'Ahmar

- Wreck M/V Cominoland

General:

Old excursion boat used around Comino, scuttled in 2006 for divers with easy access for penetration
What to look for:

Giant scorpionfish, flabellinas, moray eels

32-40 metres

Advanced divers

M/V P31

General:

Former DDR Minesweeper "Pasewalk", later used as a patrol boat in the Maltese islands. Scuttled in 2009 off Comino, well prepared and safe to explore by divers. One of the Maltese sites with the clearest water!

What to look for:
The instruction signs on the panel inside the wreck which are original German!

Depth:
11-21 meters

All levels, ideal for Open Water Divers or for those beginning their adventure of wreck diving.

Double Arches

General:

Spectacular dive site, two arches on top of each other, lots of fishes on reef top.

Access:

From boat and shore.

What to look for:

The arches, barracudas, amberjacks hunting schools of sardines.

26-40 metres

Shrimps Cave

General:

Shaft-like small cave with lots of shrimps in it, maximum 4 divers at a time.

Shrimps!

Ghasri Valley

General:

90 steps down to the fjord-like inlet and into a mermaid paradise!

Access:

What to look for:

Octopusses, crabs, scorpion fish, moray eels, lobsters, garfish

St. Dimitri Point

General:

Boat dive to the most western point of Gozo, beautiful reef and a fun swim-through

Baracudas and the most magic azure blue you can imagine!

Dwejra - Coral Cave

General:

Large cavern big enough to fit an entire family-home inside, situated at the bottom of a drop-off below Coral Gardens. with beautiful sponges

What to look for:
The walls and the ceiling of this magnificent cave are covered with many different types of encrusting coral sponges, glass bell tunicates, virgin lace coral & more. Look out for slipper lobsters in-between them!

Ta'Cenc

General:

Small, shallow inlet connected to Mgarr Ix-Xini. Discover easy to dive caverns and follow the wall leading out to the sea.

Seahorses, poseidonia pipefishes, nudibranches, cuttlefishes, flying gurnards

5- 30 metres

General:

Shallow reef top with drop-off, due to poseidonia sea grass great place to find seahorses

- Wreck M/V Xlendi

General:

Old Danish-built ferry, used to connect Malta and Gozo, scuttled in 1999 for divers, lays upside down in a sandy bottom.

Comino Caves

General:

Several beautiful, easy to explore caverns next to each other, with the possibility to ascend inside an air bubble.

Stunning light effects inside the caverns,

schools of seabreams, salema, octopuses, nudibranchs, Zorro cave!

5-15 metres
