Under Maltese regulations any guest diving with us - be it an intro dive, a course, accompanied or unaccompanied diving – must prove his or her fitness to dive by filling in and signing a medical screening statement upon check-in.
Anybody under 18 years must obtain his or her guardian’s approval. Please find here the medical screening statement as download for your information.
We are legally obliged to require a medical statement from your physician that confirms you are "Fit To Dive", in case you answer any of the questions with YES.
It will be up to the discretion of the dive centre to refuse diving with you in case of certain indications. In general we recommend you see a physician for an overall check-up before you take up diving.
However, the filled in and signed questionnaire is absolutely sufficient if you are in a good health.
We offer accompanied dives to a depth of maximum 40 metres.
All accompanied dives are undertaken within the non-decompression limits.
Divers with a certification level below PADI AOWD, CMAS**, BSAC Sports Diver or equivalent must be accompanied by a certified registered instructor at all times.
We offer Nitrox For Free, in order to enhance the safety of our divers and minimise the risk of decompression illness.
If you are qualified as PADI AOWD, CMAS**, BSAC Sports Diver, or equivalent or higher, you can dive unaccompanied on you own account.
You check-in at the dive shop. We strongly recommend that at least one group member knows Gozo from former trips, and is familiar with the surroundings and the dive sites.
Diving for children
Children from the age of 8 can start with the “bubblemaker”, and then from the age of 10 with the PADI Junior Open Water Diver. If they are in possession of a diving certificate already, we offer appropriate dive sites with the respective depth limits. With all children we take the physical and mental maturity into consideration when planning a dive or a course.
